As Carlex continues to monitor and adapt our businesses in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus), we want to share an update of our on-going actions that will ensure our continued operations both during and following this crisis. We have been guided in many of these efforts by the advice of state and federal public health authorities and have put in place protective measures to help minimize and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In recent days, we have all become familiar with concepts such as ‘social distancing’, ‘self-isolation’ and ‘flattening the curve’ — we too have transitioned many team members to work remotely, making use of online technologies to carry on with their work activities to support and serve our customers.
Sometimes, extraordinary decisions are required to meet unique challenges, such as the those being made to ease the spread of COVID-19 virus. Consequently, we will require that all visitors complete a simple screening questionnaire before being authorized access to our sites. Your participation is important to help us take precautionary measures to protect you and everyone in Carlex facilities. This decision was not taken lightly and has presented notable challenges. But our safety and health of all those concerned are of utmost importance. As the situation evolves, we will continue to review, modify and update our policies and practices to ensure the highest level of health and safety while minimizing adverse business impacts.
We want to thank all everyone for their co-operation and support of these endeavors. Especially to our Carlex team members who had worked tirelessly and gone to incredible lengths to help us recover from the recent tornado that devastated parts of Nashville, immediately followed by the current crisis. These, and many other staff members who have ensured that our facilities, production lines, operations, are safe and well-maintained, who ensure the continuity of our business operations and the core functions of Carlex.
